Cottage Renovation

The Cottage has been renovated with a new kitchen, floor tiles, carpet and a coat of paint (well three actually!!).

Spring

Spring is well on its way and Summer is fast approaching. It a wonderful time to visit. The ewes and goats have lambed  and kidded and the cows have calves at their sides. It has been a mild Spring with regular rainfall. The countryside is lush and green. The animals are all fat and happy. The young ones a delight to watch as they get into the spirit of Spring. The sceneryis breathtaking.

The yabbies and fish are back on the bite.

 If you need to go off farm then you can indulge in a winery walkabout, enjoy hiking, biking, or the gourmet foods and interest shops that the region has to offer. 

On the farm, we have the usual poultry (chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys and peacocks), guinea pigs and rabbits, pet sheep, goats and alpaca, horse and pig feeding.

New Chickens

Our hens and roosters were busy last Spring.  Many clucky hens from our selection of rare breeds including speckled hamburgs, turkeys, some very pretty Plymouths (red,black and blue) and another team of Wyndots, have hatched a multitude of chickens. The turkeys are an interesting lot with 3 big gobblers showing off to anyone who will watch and listen!! Unfortunately our female turkey has been unproductive this year.

Fishing and Yabbying

 The yabbies will be resting for winter but we do have nets and string available for the intrepid yabbier. Our lake has some large red fin much to the chagrin of recent guests who only had tales of the one that got away. Perhaps your angling skills will be better!
